I Wish I Were as Smart as Emily Oster

Posted at both cubemate.com and the DDB Open Planning Blog.

Emily Oster's talk at TED 2007 makes me envious for two reasons.  She uses lateral thinking and sharp data analysis to cut through problems.  And, she's working on solutions that can improve the world in a more meaningful way.  It's enough to make a communications planner make a run for the closest available graduate programme in economics.

Some previous posts on Professor Oster here and here.
